Looking for Ice Skates

We have two bird baths and they both look like this. Poor little birds need ice skates!

If you have very much weather like this where your concrete bird baths freeze and then thaw, you might want to invest in a bird bath heater that will keep the temp of the water in the bath above freezing. Ice freezing and thawing will destroy your concrete bird bath. Another idea, use a vinyl basin during the winter rather than unheated concrete. Water is very important during the winter--as important as food in your feeders. I have one heater in my concrete bird bath and the other 3 bird baths are vinyl and aluminum (very inexpensive) and the sun thaws the ice and does not hurt the bird bath.
